When choosing a camper mattress, it is important to consider several factors to ensure comfortable sleep and proper rest while travelling. Here are some tips:
1. Size and shape:
Single or double: Choose according to the camper bed size. Smaller campers benefit from single mattresses, while larger ones offer space for a more comfortable double mattress.
Shape: Some mattresses for campers have rounded or cut corners to fit compact spaces.
We manufacture custom-size and custom-shape camper mattresses.
2. Materials and comfort:
Polyurethane foam: Lightweight and easy to roll. We recommend HR foam — more elastic, durable, breathable and comfortable.
Memory foam: Not recommended, as it warms up from body heat and causes sweating, especially in summer.
Latex: An excellent (but more expensive) summer choice — provides cooling effect. If full latex is too costly, use a 2–3 cm latex top layer with PU foam underneath. Downside: weight.
Coconut fibre: Hypoallergenic, breathable, prevents dust mites. Often combined with foam or used on spring blocks when a firmer mattress is needed.
3. Compactness and weight:
Choose a mattress that is easy to roll and store. HR foam is the most resistant to deformation. We also produce folding mattresses.
4. Thickness:
Too thin — uncomfortable. Too thick — hard to roll. Ideal height: 10–15 cm.
5. Price and quality:
A more expensive mattress is usually more durable and comfortable. It's an investment that pays off, especially in demanding camper conditions.
6. Mattress covers:
We recommend natural, breathable fabrics — viscose or cotton. For easier cleaning, jacquard or upholstery fabrics are suitable.
